MSME / Udyam
MSME / Udyam made easy with CASYST expert assistance.
MSME (Udyam) registration formally recognises your business as a micro, small or medium enterprise and opens access to schemes, subsidies and easier credit. The process is online and free on the government portal. CASYST files your Udyam registration correctly and helps you use the benefits.
What is MSME / Udyam?
Udyam registration is the government's online registration for micro, small and medium enterprises. It is done on the Udyam portal using the owner's Aadhaar and PAN, and classification depends on investment and turnover limits that are revised from time to time.
Once registered, the business receives a permanent Udyam Registration Number and a certificate, with no need for renewal.

The 45-day payment rule
Under the MSME law, a buyer must pay a registered micro or small supplier within the agreed period, and in any case within 45 days. Delayed payment attracts compound interest, which gives Udyam-registered businesses a legal remedy.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Entering the wrong activity code or investment details
- Mismatch between Aadhaar, PAN and business name
- Not linking GST where required
- Not updating the registration when turnover changes
Updates and renewal
The Udyam certificate does not need renewal, but you should update the details as your investment, turnover or activity changes. Classification limits are revised from time to time, and we confirm the current thresholds before we file.
